Privacy policy

Socom ("we", "us") operates this website. This policy explains what happens to the information you give us through the enquiry form on it.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
The enquiry form asks for your name, your organisation, your email address, your phone number, and what you would like to prepare for. Your name, organisation and email address are required. The rest is up to you.
We do not collect anything about you unless you send the form.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, and to talk to you about SimX if that is what you contacted us about.
We do not sell it. We do not add you to a mailing list without asking you first. We do not use it for anything unrelated to your enquiry.
Who else sees it
The enquiry form is handled by Netlify, the service that hosts this website. Netlify is a United States company, so your enquiry is stored on servers outside Australia before it reaches us by email. Their privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy.
We do not share your enquiry with anyone else, other than where we are required to by law.
Getting a copy, correcting it, or having it removed
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold from your enquiry, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it.

Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, email davidh@socom.com.au and we will try to sort it out with you directly.

The SimX platform
This policy covers the enquiry form on this website only.
If your organisation licenses the SimX platform and your people take part in exercises, a separate privacy policy covers that, and it is provided with the platform.
